< issue 141 issue 143 >
(MJ Hibbett & The Validators FACT, December 23rd 2016)

Hello all, and welcome to this FESTIVE edition of the newsletter. We've got a whole lot of free STUFF to talk about this month, so let's get to it!

GIGS TO COME
Thursday 5 January 2017 - The King & Queen, London
Totally Acoustic with Kyle D Evans, The Understudies, and Tim Eveleigh.

Friday 27 January 2017 - The King & Queen, London
Making another attempt to play Scaledown after I had to cancel due to poorliness last month!

Check http://www.mjhibbett.co.uk/gigs/ for more information.

TOTALLY ACOUSTIC
The first episode of the NEW series of Totally Acoustic podcasts, featuring A Little Orchestra and The Validators, is available to download right now, right HERE:
http://www.totallyacoustic.com/podcast.php?podcastcode=58

The next show's on Thursday 5 January with Kyle D Evans, The Understudies and Tim Eveleigh. As ever, doors are 7pm for a 7.30pm start, with the whole thing done and dusted by about 9.30pm. Come along if you can, I reckon it'll be the perfect tonic for the New Year Blues!

FREE SONGS
We have a SLEW of new tracks for you this month, and they're all pretty much FREE! First of all there's 'Leaping Hare In Broadgate', an unreleased recording from the 'Still Valid' sessions, available on the Joyzine Advent Calendar, HERE:
https://joyzineuk.wordpress.com/2016/12/01/the-joyzine-advent-calendar-day-1-of-free-music-downloads-from-our-favourite-artists/

Then there's 'Paul McCartney Can Do What He Likes', which I wrote especially for The Album Wall's 'Songs About Albums' compilation. You can read all about it and listen to it HERE:
https://thealbumwall.blogspot.co.uk/2016/12/paul-mccartney-can-do-what-he-likes.html

Last but never least there's The Validators' Christmas song for 2016, 'Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas', which we recorded LIVE at Totally Acoustic with A Little Orchestra. All information, including the super Christmassy video, is available HERE:

STILL VALID - THE SHOW
Steve and I are off to Leicester in February to perform 'Still Valid', a show SO new that even WE don't really know what's going to happen! What we DO know is that it'll feature songs from the album, some mucking about, lots of stories, and hopefully a few LARFS. Sounds good to me! (And me - ED.)
Tickets are HERE: http://comedy-festival.co.uk/event/still-valid-an-evening-with-mj-hibbett-and-steve/

AND FINALLY
As we reach the end of 2016 I'd just like to say thanks very much indeed for reading all these newsletters. It's always hugely appreciated especially these days when things are, shall we say, not quite as frenetic on the ROCK ACTION front. I hope you all have a brilliant Christmas, and I'll see you on the other side for GOOD TIMES in 2017!

Cheers,

Mark
